Director Brand Management (m/f) Job ID #: 6737-JW Functional Area: Corporate Communications Employment Type: Regular Full-Time Location: Hilden (near Duesseldorf), Germany Duration: unlimited Position Description QIAGEN seeks an experienced marketing professional, to serve a key role as Director Brand Management in our newly established Center of Excellence (CoE) Marketing Communications. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and will generate strategies that grow market share, enhance brand's reputation, improve customer experience and drive growth. This position reports directly to the Head of CoE Marketing Communications and will work closely together with our Content Marketing and Design Management Teams. You will further partner with our three Business Areas: Life Science Research, Molecular Diagnostics, and Bioinformatics, Sales management and key stakeholders, such as Corporate Communications. Take brand ownership and provide brand vision, mission, goals and strategies Steer image and brand value Further develop and enhance the QIAGEN brand according to identified market needs Ensure global corporate brand recognition in alignment with QIAGEN's brand policies & procedures as well as international industry guidelines Review the current branding policies and regularly adapt them to new multimedia trends Work together in an international team to develop and execute brand architecture strategy to secure consistent uniformity in all customer communications and presentations, including integration of new products and corporate acquisitions For tonality, style, corporate identity and design, work closely with the responsible content marketing and design management teams Work directly with functional area leaders to identify Corporate Design needs and partner with appropriate internal groups or external vendors to develop new solutions Implement analytics to monitor/track brand performance (e.g., market share reports) in collaboration with the Head of Analytics and Market Research Monitor commercial brand performance – make recommendations to adjust. Position Requirements Min. 7 years of brand marketing experience in the OTC or consumer industry with a track record of increasing roles and responsibilities More than 7 years' experience in international marketing, both on- and offline Academic qualification (M.S., PhD) in marketing, related discipline and/or an MBA Proven ability to develop brand and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management Up-to-date with latest trends and marketing best practices International experience (global, regional) required Ability to independently manage multiple projects Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix environment Personal Requirements Internationally oriented: cultural awareness and sensitivity (already worked, lived, traveled abroad) Highly collaborative and demonstrated ability to work in a team-based environment Self-motivated, confident, energetic, highly creative, analytical and tactical; able to defend decisions/positions Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable with high-level reporting Up to 25% travel Your Application If this interdisciplinary challenge appeals to you, you can expect a highly motivated team that is looking forward to your support!
